      How to migrate an existing website to Shopify

      Follow this guide if you have an existing website on a different e-commerce platform and wish to migrate it to Shopify

      NOTE: If you are using Shopify Markets you can only use 1 website for all your orders. We are working on a solution to allow orders to be split up between multiple websites in ProfitMetrics.

      1. Login to https://my.profitmetrics.io
      2. Please make sure you switch to the desired website if you have more than one.

      3. Copy and paste this link into the address bar of the active window and press "enter"https://my.profitmetrics.io/customer/shopify_migrate.php

      4. In another tap, login to https://admin.shopify.com
      5. Make sure you are logged into the correct Shopify store

        NOTE: Please make sure that you ONLY have 1 tap open with the Shopify store, and 1 tap open with the ProfitMetrics website you want to migrate in the browser you are working on while completing this task.

        - This will help avoid installing the ProfitMetrics app in the wrong Shopify store.

      6. Click "Settings" > "Domains" and copy the "my shopify url"

      7. Enter your "my shopify URL" in ProfitMetrics

      8. Click "Install Shopify app"

      9. You will now be redirected to Shopify. Validate that you are about to install the app into the correct Shopify store and click "Install"

      10. You will now be redirected back to ProfitMetrics, click "Create Subscription"

      11. Once again, you will be redirected to the Shopify store to create a subscription; click "Approve"

      12. A redirection will be made back to ProfitMetrics; now click "Close Message" if you see this message

      13. Done; That's it. Your website has been successfully migrated to Shopify ✅
