# How to install/update ProfitMetrics' extension for Shopware 6

## Follow this guide to install/update ProfitMetrics' extension for Shopware 6

**IMPORTANT:** If you have an old version of the ProfitMetrics extension below version 3.1.1, you will need to delete this version before or after you have completed the steps below. Please follow this guide ([How to delete the existing extension for Shopware 6](https://knowledge.profitmetrics.io/how-to-migrate-to-the-new-extension-for-shopware-6?hsLang=en)) before you continue.

### Part 1: Install the Extension

1. Go to [https://release.profitmetrics.io/#shopware6](https://release.profitmetrics.io/#shopware6) to download the latest version of the extension.
2. Click **Extensions**

3. Click **My extensions**

4. Click **Upload extension**

5. Click **Confirm**

6. Select the zip file you just downloaded.
   
   **Note:** We are working on making the module available through the ShopWare marketplace.

 

**The Module is now installed.**

### Part 2: Configuration

1. Find the ProfitMetrics extension in your list of extensions and click **Configure.** If you can't find it, you can search for "**profit**" and it should show up.

2. Set the Sales Channel. If you only have 1 Sales channel, you can leave it set to **"All Sales Channels"**. If you have multiple sales channels, you choose to set unique public ids and settings for each channel.

3. Insert your **Public ID**  ([How to find your Public ID](https://knowledge.profitmetrics.io/how-to-find-your-public-id?hsLang=en))

4. Select the **Order status** to be sent to ProfitMetrics. By default, "Order state - Done" and "Payment state - Paid" will be imported.
   
   **Note:** We recommend selecting all statuses indicating an order has been paid.

5. Leave **Order lookback window (days)** to 7 unless you actively want to import orders create more or less then 7 days ago.

6. Enable **Block tracking before consent** if you would like to ensure that the module only tracks users who explicitly give consent.
   
   **Supports:** Shopware Build In Consent, Cookiebot, Cookieinformation, CookieScript, CookieYes, CookieFirst, Onetrust

7. Copy the new **Product feed URL** and paste it in [ProfitMetrics \> Products Feed \> URL](https://my.profitmetrics.io/customer/products_feed.php)

8. Click **Save
