How to install, update, and configure the ProfitMetrics plugin for WooCommerce

Part 1: Download the latest version

Download the latest version of the WooCommerce plugin here: https://release.profitmetrics.io

Part 2: Install/update the ProfitMetrics plugin

NOTE: If you are using version 2.41 or older, you must deactivate the old plugin before installing the newest version.
  1. Log in to WooCommerce
  2. Navigate to "Plugins" > "Add new Plugin"

  3. Click "Upload Plugin"

  4. Select the file on your computer, and click "Install Now"

  5. If you are updating the module from an older version, click "Replace current with uploaded"

  6. Once installation completes, click "Activate Now"

Part 3: Product feed configuration

  1. Click "WooCommerce" > "Settings"

  4. Select the cost price field to import from. ProfitMetrics creates a default cost price field when installed, called "PM Cost Price (_cost_price)" 

    A: My cost prices are in a different meta field than ProfitMetrics' default?
    You can choose any existing field by manually inserting the name of the meta field.

    B: My cost prices are only available in an external product feed?
    You can upload any standard Google product feed. 
    Important: IDs in the feed must match the order product IDs received in ProfitMetrics, which in your case would be "WooCommerce product IDs"

    C: I only have my cost prices in a CSV file?
    You can upload your product costs with a CSV upload in ProfitMetrics.
    First, generate the PM feed, import it to ProfitMetrics, and then update the cost prices with a CSV upload. Important: The product IDs in the CSV file must match the existing product IDs in the uploaded product feed.

  5. Click "Save Changes"

Part 4: Configure the ProfitMetrics plugin

  1. Click "General"

  2. Add your "Public ID" (how to find your Public ID)

  3. Choose the order statuses for when orders should be sent to your dashboard
    Note: Do not included cancelled, returned, or orders that hasen't been paid.

  4. Set the "Order lookback window (days)" to a maximum of 30 days to specify the initial import period for historical orders.

  5. Click "Save Changes"
