HOW TO CONNECT WITH META AND CONVERSION BOOSTER FOR META
Follow the steps below to set up the Meta integration with ProfitMetrics
Part 1: Connect with Meta
Part 2: Connect with the Conversion Booster
Part 3: Choose Account(s) and Import Ad spend
Part 4: Important Notes
Part 5: Set up custom Columns
Part 1: Connect with Meta
-
Go to Integration > Connection > Meta

-
Click "Connect to Meta". You will then be taken to the Meta login window. Log in to Facebook, and once the authentication is complete, you will be redirected back to ProfitMetrics. From there, simply select the ad account you want to connect, and then connect the Conversion Booster, which will serve as the tracking for Meta.

Part 2: Conversion Booster
-
Click "Go to Conversion Booster"

-
From here, you will see two configuration options. We recommend selecting the Standard configuration, which will automatically create 8 new custom events in Meta.
If you choose the Custom configuration, you will need to manually decide which events and parameters you want to send. However, for most setups, the Standard option is the recommended approach. As soon as a purchase happens, ProfitMetrics will send all 8 custom events to Meta.

-
And from here, add the Pixel ID. Once that is added, you can proceed to the next step and complete the setup.

-
Then you will see the list of events we send to Meta. In total, there are eight custom events: four based on profit and four based on revenue. Please click this link to learn how to use them and tailor them for bidding inside Ads Manager.

Part 3: Choose Account(s) and Import Ad Spend
-
Please make sure to select the correct ad account(s) from the drop-down menu — the one(s) where you are actively spending budget and want to import Ad Spend from.

Part 4: Important Notes
Meta custom events: what to expect
-
After you enable the Meta integration and the custom events we create in your Meta account, the events will appear in Events Manager.
-
If no signals have been received from ProfitMetrics yet, the events will not show. They will appear automatically once data is sent.
Timeline
-
Custom events usually appear within 12–24 hours after the first purchase signal.
Manual confirmation required
-
Meta requires manual approval of all new events.
-
Go to Events Manager > Event Confirmation, and approve the new custom events so they can be used in campaigns and reporting.

After confirmation
-
Once approved, the events will become available in the drop-down menu containing all confirmed and successfully sent events
-

Part 5: Set up custom Columns
That's it. You have now completed the integration with Meta . ✅
