We recently became aware that on certain GA4 properties, order conversions sent to GA4 from Third-party tools like ProfitMetrics server-side were not properly attributed around January 16th.
What Happened?
After investigating, we found that while ProfitMetrics successfully sent the conversions, a prolonged network issue on Google’s servers caused them not to be attributed within GA4. We attempted to resend the conversions, but due to GA4’s 72-hour attribution limitation, it was unfortunately not possible to retroactively attribute them.
What This Means for You
- This issue has not impacted your ProfitMetrics dashboard—all orders remain visible there.
- Google Ads and Meta Ads are not affected by this issue.
- Only GA4 data for the period around January 16th is missing conversions.
We sincerely apologize for this issue. While this is outside our control due to GA4’s limitations, we understand the importance of accurate tracking and are continuously working to ensure the highest level of data reliability.
